The Miner
The Miner is one of three cross stitch tributes to the coal miner. This cross stitch design is an adaptation of a vintage World War II Poster.
The coal miner is depicted holding his pick in hand as he stand atop a pile of coal. He is wearing his carbine lamp.
The Miner is stitched on Zweigart Aida 18 white fabric. The design area is 7-3/4 inches x 11-5/8 inches. The fabric size is 13 inches x 18 inches.
The design is stitched using cross stitches and half cross stitches.
The colors used are monochromatic. Threads are DMC or Anchor stranded cotton floss, YLI RibbonFloss and Kreinik metallic Braid.
