Hoot Owl Shift
Hoot Owl Shift is one of three cross stitch tributes to the coal miners.
Some miners refer to the "midnight shift" or "third shift" as the Hoot Owl Shift.
This cross stitch design shows a miner heading into the mine shaft wearing his helmet and carrying his lunch "bucket".
Hoot Owl Shift is stitched on Zweigart Aida 18 white fabric. The design area is 5-1/8 inches x 7 inches. The fabric size is 10 inches x 12 inches.
The design uses full cross stitches and backstitches.
The colors of this cross stitch design are monochromatic. Threads used are DMC or Anchor stranded cotton floss, Rainbow Gallery Fiesta and YLI RibbonFloss.
