Cross stitch<\/strong> and quilt<\/strong> designs are made for each other.  The lovely quilts that use primarily geometric<\/strong> shapes adapt perfectly to the straight lines of cross stitch. <\/p>\n

Amish Bars <\/strong>designed for Duo Designs, Inc.,<\/strong> shows the simplistic nature of Amish needlework<\/strong>.  This colorful design is appropriate to be used as a picture, pillow top<\/strong>, or even a box top insert<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Stitches<\/strong> used include the alternating oblong cross stitch, Smyrna cross stitch<\/strong><\/em>, as well as the traditional cross stitch.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The threads used in the model are DMC <\/strong>or Anchor <\/strong>stranded cotton floss.<\/strong>  The colors represent the traditional Amish <\/strong>colors of red, blue, green and yellow. <\/p>\n

Detailed diagrams<\/strong> and illustrations<\/strong> will assist the needleworker<\/strong> in completing this design. <\/p>\n
