“Hearts from A to Z\u201d is an excellent class to introduce the beginning-intermediate student to some unfamiliar stitches.\u00a0 There are over 26 different stitches \u2013 one for each letter of the alphabet, plus several more for the outline and background.<\/p>\n

The project is stitched on 18ct monocanvas, 9\u201d x 14\u201d in size.\u00a0 Each square for the alphabet is 20 threads by 20 threads in size.\u00a0 Students will find that the squares work up quickly and they realize instant gratification for something completed.\u00a0 In addition to the alphabet, there is space for initials, date, or some other type of personalization if desired.<\/p>\n

Each heart square will show a fully diagrammed section and include the compensating stitches that are necessary as well.\u00a0 The piece is ideal as a tray insert, picture or pillow. Stash threads will work well with this project and no kit is offered.<\/p>\n
