Lesson One Overview – Tasseled Tote Cyber Class
Did you ever want to try and put your design on needlepoint canvas? Like to draw geometrics, flowers, animals? Well in Lesson 1 of Tasseled Tote, those who did not select the full kit option will be doing exactly that.
We will explain how to count the canvas for different line insertions. We will also discuss the type pencil and eraser (yes, we do sometimes make mistakes) suggested and how to use them. Detailed illustrations will accompany each lesson.
How about painting on canvas?
Lesson 1 of Tasseled Tote will help take away the fear of applying paint to your needlepoint canvas. This lesson applies to both those who did not selection the optional kit purchase as well as those who did.
We will discuss what areas might be more helpful if painted and why. Additionally, the type paint and paintbrush are suggested. Illustrations show where to paint and how.
Then Lesson 1 of Tasseled Tote will begin adding stitches. The first lesson covers the Framed Hungarian Stitch. We will be using Silk and Ivory thread and embellishing with a Kreinik Braid.
So, at the completion of Lesson 1 of Tasseled Tote, the main color stripe will be done and we are well on our way to completing a beautiful design that will fit into a gorgeous Stirling leather tote. This design is also well adapted to a pillow, picture, jacket appliqué, endless uses.
Without further ado, LET’S BEGIN!
